If you have a question about a charge, please contact Trader Support before disputing it with your bank. Most fees at Topstep are non-refundable once a purchase is made, but we’re always here to review your account and help clear up any confusion.
You can also find more information on our refund policies in this Help Center article.
What Is a Chargeback vs. Unjustified Chargeback?
A chargeback happens when a trader disputes a charge with their financial institution and requests a reversal. An unjustified chargeback is when a dispute is filed without a valid reason, such as:
Forgetting to cancel a membership
Misunderstanding a charge
Overlooking our published refund policies
Attempting to bypass the standard refund process
If you ever have a question about a charge, reach out to Trader Support first. We are always happy to help, and most issues can be resolved without needing to file a chargeback.
What Happens If I File A Chargeback?
If you file a chargeback on a Topstep transaction, it will trigger an account review. If we find excessive or unjustified chargebacks, it may lead to account suspension or even permanent removal from the Topstep program.
We always recommend reaching out to Trader Support first before filing a dispute. However, if you have already filed a chargeback, you can still contact our team to discuss your options.
What If I Want To Dispute A Topstep Charge?
If you have questions about a charge or believe there was an error, please contact Trader Support. We’ll review your situation to determine if a refund or other solution is available under our policies.
Filing a chargeback before reaching out could delay any options we have to help, and may impact your Topstep account standing.
