Topstep Pricing

Getting started with Topstep is simple! To get started with the Trading Combine, you'll need to:

PayPal is not a supported payment method on the new Topstep dashboard.

Trading Combine

The cost of the Trading Combine (sometimes called our evaluation or test) varies based on the account size and path you choose.

You can pay using credit card or debit card.


Choose Your Path

Standard Path

  • $49 Trading Combine® subscription

  • $149 activation fee when you pass

  • Lower upfront cost

  • Best for traders who are learning and working on their strategy

No Activation Fee Path

  • $109 Trading Combine subscription

  • No activation fee when you pass

  • Pay a little more up front, but nothing when you pass.

  • Best for traders who are dialed in and expect to pass in 1-2 attempts.


Which Option Should I Choose?

  • The Standard path is best for traders who want to keep monthly costs low while they work on consistency and strategy. You’ll only pay the Activation Fee once you’ve proven you’re ready for funding, making it a budget-friendly way to build skills over time.

  • The No Activation Fee path is ideal for traders who have their strategy dialed in and are confident they can pass the Trading Combine in one or two attempts. By paying more upfront, you skip the Activation Fee entirely once funded, saving money overall if you pass quickly.


Important Notes

Trading Combines purchased under one path (Standard or No Activation Fee) cannot be converted to the other. This means that traders must commit to their chosen path from the start.

Resets

Reset pricing varies based on your account size and selected path. You can pay for the Resets via credit card or debit card.


Standard Path

  • 50K Standard Path Reset costs $49

  • ​100K Standard Path Reset costs $99

  • 150K Standard Path Reset costs $149​


No Activation Fee Path:

  • 50K No Activation Fee Reset costs $109

  • 100K No Activation Fee Reset costs $159

  • 150K No Activation Fee Reset costs $209

Express Funded Account Activation Fee

Topstep now offers two paths to funding, each with a different approach to the Activation Fee. Choose the option that fits your trading style.


Standard Path

  • Lower monthly cost

  • Activation Fee is paid after you pass

Pricing:

  • 50K: $49/month + $149 Activation Fee

  • 100K: $99/month + $149 Activation Fee

  • 150K: $149/month + $149 Activation Fee


No Activation Fee Path

  • Higher monthly cost

  • No Activation Fee when you pass

Pricing:

  • 50K: $109/month

  • 100K: $159/month

  • 150K: $209/month

Pricing FAQs

If I'm already in a Trading Combine, which Activation Fee applies?

Any Express Funded Accounts activated on or after February 5th, 2026, will use the updated $149 Activation Fee.


Will my subscription Rebill price change?

No. Your subscription will continue to Rebill at the same price.

However, Resets and new purchases will reflect updated pricing starting February 5, 2026.


Is there a price difference between Standard Express Funded Accounts and Consistency Express Funded Accounts?

No, the activation price is the same regardless of which path you choose.

Data Fees

Level 1 Data (Top of Book)

Level 1 data includes the best bid and best ask prices.

If you are chart trading, this is the data you are using.

Level 1 Data is included at no additional cost with your Topstep subscription.


Level 2 Data (Depth of Market)

Level 2 data shows multiple bid and ask levels (typically 5-10), allowing you to see pending buy and sell orders in the market.

If you are using DOM or Matrix, this is the data you are using.

Level 2 data is available as an upgrade for $38/month and can be added from your dashboard using a credit or debit card.

How do I purchase Level 2 data?


To purchase Level 2 Data, go to the Topstep Dashboard, visit your Accounts tab and then click Add Ons (shown below). After that, select Depth of Market Bundle.


Please note that Level 2 data is not prorated. This means you'll be charged the full price regardless of when you purchase. You will also be charged on the 1st of each month, regardless of when you signed up initially. For example, if you sign up on the 26th of the month, you will still be charged on the 1st of the next month when the subscription renews.

Commissions and Fees

Commissions and fees are not paid out of pocket. They are automatically deducted from your account balance with each filled trade and are reflected in your Net P&L.

VAT and Sales Tax


Topstep's listed prices reflect the base cost of each service. Depending on your location, applicable taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax) may be added at checkout in accordance with local regulations.

Taxes are automatically calculated and displayed before you complete your purchase.

Topstep collects and remits all applicable taxes to the appropriate authorities and does not retain any portion of these taxes.

You can view your billing details at any time through your account dashboard. For further assistance, please contact our Trader Support Team with your questions.


Promo Code Information

Read this before you apply a promo code:

  • If you already have a Topstep.com account, you must be logged in to your Dashboard before you apply a promo code; do not create a new Topstep profile when redeeming a code.

  • Your code will either apply to a new Trading Combine or a Reset, but not both; make sure to read the code terms and conditions to avoid any confusion or purchase issues.

  • You must adhere to the terms and conditions of the promotion. Topstep does not offer refunds for codes applied or used incorrectly. Your account size cannot be changed after the purchase is made, and we cannot honor refunds for codes applied incorrectly. Review your offer terms closely before purchasing.

  • Unless otherwise stated, your first month is billed at the promotional price. All rebills and Reset purchases thereafter are full price unless otherwise stated in the promotion. Refer to the promotional email for full details.

Please note: Topstep does not provide refunds for purchases where the promo code did not apply, nor do we provide refunds for Trading Combines purchased outside of the promotion terms and conditions.

If you purchased a Trading Combine at full price a few days before the sale, you are not eligible to have the full-price Trading Combine refunded to purchase a new one at the discounted rate.

How to apply a promo code


To apply a Trading Combine code in the new Topstep Dashboard, log in and click “Start a Trading Combine” at the top of your Dashboard.

  1. Follow the prompts to select your account size.

  2. On the next page, you’ll be able to enter your payment details and promo code. First, make sure you accept the Trading Combine Account Rebill Agreement. You must complete this step before confirming your address.

  3. Fill in your address, and click “Confirm Shipping Info”.

  4. Under Coupons & Payment, enter your promo code in the space provided, and click “Apply”.

  5. When your code is entered correctly, you'll see the discounted amount reflected after clicking Apply.

  6. Enter your payment details and click “Pay” to complete your purchase.

If you receive an error message after clicking apply, this means the code is not being entered correctly. Please review the terms and conditions of your offer for more details.

What do I do if my promo code isn't working?


If your promo code isn't working, the first thing to do is review the terms or conditions for that particular offer; these are found in the offer email you received with the promo code, so please read closely!

If you receive an error message when applying a code, this means the code is not being applied correctly. Please double-check that your code is entered correctly and keep in mind that:

  1. Codes are case-sensitive

  2. You must remove any spaces before or after your code

  3. You should try to manually type your code if copy and paste isn't working

  4. Codes are specific to your Topstep profile, and will not work if used under another email address.

  5. Ensure you also meet any eligibility criteria, such as specific invite-only codes.


Payments and Troubleshooting

Managing your payment details and resolving issues is straightforward with the right information. This section covers accepted payment methods, how to add or update a card, and steps to troubleshoot common payment issues.

Topstep accepts the following payment methods:

  • Visa

  • Mastercard

  • American Express

  • Discover

PayPal is not currently supported on the New Topstep Dashboard.


How to add or update your payment details

To update your payment information for an existing subscription:

  1. Go to your Billing Page

  2. Click Add New Card at the top

  3. Enter your payment details and click Save

  4. Scroll down to Subscriptions

  5. Locate the subscriptions you want to update

  6. Click the Edit icon next to it

  7. Select your preferred payment method from the dropdown

  8. Save your changes


Troubleshooting Payment Issues


Having trouble making a payment? Follow these steps below to resolve common issues and get your payment processed successfully.

1. Use a Card in Your Name

You must use a debit or credit card in your own name. Using a card that does not match the name on your profile violates Topstep’s Terms of Use and will result in an automatic decline.

  • The name on your card must match your Topstep profile

  • Your profile must reflect your full legal name

  • Nicknames or business names may result in a declined transaction

2. Check your billing details

Ensure your billing address matches exactly what your bank has on file.

  • Even small formatting differences, such as "St" versus "Street," can cause a decline

3. Re-enter your payment details

If the issue persists, delete your saved payment method and re-enter it manually. Avoid using auto-fill to ensure accuracy.

  • If your card is tied to an active subscription and cannot be removed, add a new card and set it as your preferred payment method

4. Wait before trying again

Wait at least one hour between payment attempts.

  • Multiple attempts in a short period of time can trigger temporary blocks from your bank or payment processor

5. Contact your bank

If your payment is still being declined, your bank may be blocking the transaction. When you call:

  • Confirm you have sufficient funds available

  • Ask to speak with the Fraud department to check for any security holds

  • Confirm that international and online transactions are enabled

  • Ask them to allow payments to Topstep specifically

  • Try the transaction while the representative is on the line

  • If the issue persists, ask to switch from credit to debit as your processing method

  • If unresolved, repeat these steps with your card provider

  • You may ultimately need to try a different card

6. Additional troubleshooting steps

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies or complete the payment in a private or incognito window

  • Try a different browser or device

  • Disable any VPNs, ad blockers, or browser extensions, as these can interfere with payment processing
