Here's everything you need to know about how to correctly apply or redeem a code. Please always read your promo code or reset code terms and conditions closely prior to finalizing your purchase to avoid any confusion or issues.
Read this before you apply a promo code
If you already have a Topstep.com account, you must be logged in to your Dashboard before you apply a promo code; do not create a new Topstep profile when redeeming a code.
Your code will either apply to a new Trading Combine or a Reset, but not both; make sure to read the code terms and conditions to avoid any confusion or purchase issues.
Applying a Trading Combine promo code
To apply a Trading Combine code, log in to your Topstep account and click 'Start a Trading Combine' at the top of your Dashboard.
Then you'll follow the prompts to select your account size and platform.
You must adhere to the terms and conditions of the promo. We will not offer refunds for codes applied or used incorrectly.
Your platform and account size cannot be changed after the purchase is made, and we cannot honor refunds for codes applied incorrectly. Review your offer terms closely and see our List of Supported Platforms to ensure device & system compatibility before purchasing.
On the Trading Combine checkout page click 'Have a Promo Code?'
Enter your code in the box provided and click Apply. When your code is entered correctly, you'll see the discounted amount reflected in the Total section after clicking Apply.
If you receive an error message after clicking apply, this means the code is not being entered correctly. Please review the terms and conditions of your offer for more details.
When applying your Promo Code, keep in mind that:
Codes are case-sensitive
You should remove any spaces before or after your code
It's important to manually type your code if copy and paste isn't working
Click 'Complete Purchase'. You may be prompted to enter payment details if none are on file to begin the Trading Combine subscription.
Applying a Reset Code:
To apply a Reset code, log in to your existing account and select the account you'd like to reset in the dropdown menu. Then click 'Have a Promo Code'. Enter your Promo Code carefully in the box provided and Click 'Apply'.
When your code is entered correctly, you'll see the discounted amount reflected on your payment page before you pay. Click 'Process Purchase' to proceed.
What do I do if my promo code isn't working?
Sometimes promo codes are available for one account only, or the first month of a new Trading Combine. If your promo code isn't working, the first thing to do is review the terms or conditions for that particular offer; these are found in the offer email you received with the promo code, so please read closely!
If you receive an error message when applying a code, this means the code is not being applied correctly. Please double-check that your code is entered correctly and keep in mind that:
Codes are case-sensitive
You must remove any spaces before or after your code
You should try to manually type your code if copy and paste isn't working
Codes are specific to your Topstep profile, and will not work if used under another email address
Refund Policy for Promos
Topstep's refund policy is as follows:
Topstep does not provide refunds for purchases where the promo code did not apply, nor do we provide refunds for Trading Combines purchased outside of the promotion terms and conditions.
If you purchased a Trading Combine at full price a few days before the sale, you are not eligible to have the full-price Trading Combine refunded to purchase a new one at the discounted rate.
"There was an issue creating your account" Error Message
If you see the "There was an issue creating your account" error message, there are a few things to be aware of.
Have you ever had an account with Tradovate (live or trial) with your current username? If you have, that could be the cause of the issues you are seeing. If not, we have found that the following steps usually help solve this issue:
Reset your password from the dashboard.
Clear your web browser cookies and cache, or use “Incognito” or “Privacy” mode to log in
Be sure that all fields in your user profile are completed. We have seen instances where the wrong information is populated, so clearing any prepopulated fields and manually typing them in can help.
Verify that the Zip Code field has 5 digits.
Try using a mobile device to sign up. Many traders find that filling out forms on their phones gets better results due to device compatibility.
