Platform Connection Instructions

Important Changes to Topstep Supported Platforms:

Starting July 7th, new Trading Combines will only be available on TopstepX. You can continue trading an active account on the platform that you have currently selected and will be able (if needed) to reset that account. After this date, you will no longer be able to switch platforms or purchase a new Trading Combine on any platform other than TopstepX.

Starting August 1st, the ability to reset will only be available on TopstepX. You can still trade your active existing account. However, if the account hits the Maximum Loss Limit on a platform that is not TopstepX, you will no longer be able to reset that account. If that occurs, you will be able to activate a new account on TopstepX.

  • If you purchased a Reset or Trading Combine during the 3:10 PM-5 PM CST timeframe, please wait until after 6 PM CST for your account to be available. Trade Reports are processed between 3:10 PM and 5 PM CST, and any purchases made during this time may experience a delay in account creation.

  • Certain platforms are not compatible with mobile devices or Mac/iOS, so please double-check the device compatibility details prior to placing your first trade here: List of Supported Platforms

  • When using the TopstepX or Tradovate trading platforms, please note that your username and email address should not be used with any other prop firm or have been previously used with Topstep. If you’re having trouble creating a new Topstep profile, choose a different email address and/or username.

Can I switch Trading Platforms?

Starting July 7th, 2025, you can only switch trading platforms if you have passed a Trading Combine or Express Funded Account on a platform other than TopstepX, and want switch to the TopstepX platform. This request can only be approved if there has been no trading activity on the new account. Please contact the Trader Support Team before placing any trades so we can assist with the switch.
