Hotkeys are now supported on TopstepX™!
The following hotkeys are available to use in the DOM, with more being added in the near future!
Buy Market - Place a market order to buy
Sell Market - Place a market order to sell
Join Bid - Place a limit order to buy at the bid price
Join Ask - Place a limit order to sell at the limit price
Reverse Position - Close the current position at the market price and open the opposite position at the market price.
Close Postion - Closes all open positions
Flatten All - Closes all open positions and cancels any pending orders
Cancel All - Cancels any pending orders
Hide Vol. Profile Column - Hides the Volume Profile on the DOM
Center on last price - Continuously centers the DOM on the last price
How to setup and use Hotkeys on TopstepX:
Select the settings gear and then “Hotkeys” to see the list of available Hotkeys.
When you press the “Set Hotkey” button, you’ll receive a pop-up asking you to press the keys you would like to set as your hotkeys.
Here, we selected the “Up Arrow” for Buy Market, and you can see that it allows you to confirm your Hotkey.
If you select multiple buttons, you’ll see them listed for you to confirm.
Once you select “Confirm,” you’ll be able to see your hotkey listed with the action.
Once set, press this “H” button on the DOM or Orderbook to enable the hotkeys.
What are Hotkeys?
Hotkeys are keyboard shortcuts that allow traders to perform a predefined action (like buy or sell) using specific keys that they set up (for example, CTRL + M).

Buy/Sell: Traders can assign hotkeys to instantly buy or sell at the market when they see an opportunity. Or they can assign hotkeys to join the bid or ask.
Order Modification: Set hotkeys to reverse an open position or flatten/cancel all quickly.
How do I set up hotkeys on my trading platform?
To set up hotkeys, go to the platform’s settings or components section (TBD on designs), find the “Hotkeys” option, and customize the keys according to your preferences.
Can I customize my hotkeys?
Yes. We allow you to customize hotkeys to match your specific trading style and preferences. You can assign different functions to various keys based on your needs.
Please note: If you try to create a HotKey that is already a default key for something else, the Hotkey will not work. For example, if CTRL + R is selected as a Hotkey for TopstepX, it will not work as that is already the Hotkey to reload a website. Because they are often used as Hotkeys already, the Windows and Command buttons cannot be used as Hotkeys.

Placing buy or sell orders

Switching between different charts and instruments
