Topstep is the industry-leading futures prop trading firm that focuses on teaching you how to become a funded futures trader with our proprietary technology, the Trading Combine®.
Getting Started with Topstep
The first step to getting started and earning a Funded Account with Topstep is to enter the Trading Combine®. The Trading Combine is a real-time, simulated evaluation of your trading performance, and it is built for you to demonstrate that you can manage risk and that our capital is safe in your hands.
The Trading Combine is designed to ensure consistency and to get you to your ultimate goal of trading in a Funded Account with Topstep. If you meet the objectives of your Trading Combine without breaking the rule, you will earn an Express Funded Account where you can start taking payouts from your trading!
Once you’ve proven consistent performance in your Express Funded Account, you’ll have the opportunity to move into a Live Funded Account. This transition gives you direct access to trading live markets while continuing to follow the same risk management principles that helped you succeed in your Trading Combine and Express Funded Account.
To get started and pay for the Trading Combine (sometimes called our evaluation or test), you'll need to:
Create an account with Topstep. Please note: Topstep has a single-profile policy. If you have already signed up, please sign in to your existing profile and click "Start a Trading Combine".
Choose your account size (50K, 100K, 150K).
Enter your payment information to start your monthly subscription.
From there, you'll receive an email with your account credentials. To learn more about the TopstepX platform, click here.
Signing Up for Topstep
Sign up for a Topstep Profile here! You'll be able to sign up using an email address or with one of our social signup options:
When signing up or logging in, you can select to enter your email, or click one of the social login options: Google or Facebook
New: Social Login options are available for new and existing Traders.
Please note: Topstep has a single-profile policy. If you have already signed up, please sign in to your existing profile.

Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication for Topstep
Setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now a requirement to access your Topstep Dashboard, adding an extra layer of security to your account.
Go to the Topstep Dashboard login page. If you have not verified your Topstep account or are logging in from a new browser, this verification screen will appear. Select whether you are a new or returning Trader.
If you are a returning Topstep trader, select yes and then input your current Topstep email and password to receive a verification email
Check your inbox for the verification email. If you don’t see it, be sure to check your spam folder.
Alternatively, you can click this link to reset your password right now.
Hit the verification link provided in the email, which will take you to a password reset screen. Choose a strong password and don’t share it with anyone.
You will now be asked to set up your MFA via email or choose to skip straight to the dashboard. However, if you skip, you will be required to set up MFA the next time you log in to the dashboard.
Upon choosing to set up MFA, you will be sent an email with a code. Enter that code when prompted to finish setting up your MFA.
MFA is now set up for your account. On your next login, a verification code will be sent to your email. Enter the verification code to complete the login and you’re in!
Note: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required to access your Topstep Dashboard. If you encounter a “network error” while resetting your password, try again using an Incognito/Private browser window or clear your browser’s cookies and cache. If the issue continues, please contact Support for assistance.
