Overview
After passing the Trading Combine®, you activate your Express Funded Account® (XFA) directly from your Trade Report. Depending on the path you chose, there may or may not be an activation fee.
What to Expect After Passing
You'll receive a confirmation email from Topstep
Your Trade Report will show a "Start Express Funded Account!" button on the right side — click it to begin
It may take up to 30 minutes for your Trading Combine status to reflect as passed in your dashboard
You'll see your Funded Trader Certificate in the Achievements tab of your Topstep Dashboard!
☝️ If you already have 5 active XFAs or a Live Funded Account®, the button will be greyed out. You'll need to close an account before activating a new one.

⚠️ It's your responsibility to confirm you're activating the correct account. Topstep does not provide refunds or make exceptions for activating the wrong XFA.
Steps to Activate
From the Trade Report of your passed Trading Combine®, click "Activate Express Funded Account." If you have multiple passed Trading Combines, confirm the correct account before clicking.
Select your XFA type — Standard or Consistency. Learn more: XFA Parameters.
Account Info: Review the TC name you're activating and confirm it's correct.
Review Agreement: Read the XFA Agreement document and click Continue.
Agreement Signed: Check both boxes to confirm you've read and agreed to the terms. Click "Agree and Continue."
Activation Fee:
No Activation Fee path: Click Continue — your account is created!
Standard path: Check all 3 fee agreement boxes, enter your payment info (credit or debit card), and click "Complete Payment to Activate."
Account Created: You'll see a "Tips from our Coaches" page. The left side shows a confirmation of each completed step. Click "Finish" to return to your dashboard and your new XFA.
